Description
When Spicebomb EDT launched in 2010 it quickly became one of the most successful men's fragrances of its decade, thanks to Olivier Polge's expert handling of the spice-freshness tension and the unforgettable grenade-shaped bottle. Spicebomb EDP, released in 2015, asks the logical next question: what happens when the freshness steps aside entirely and the spice takes command?
The bergamot-lemon opening is brief — the transition to the heart happens quickly and decisively. Black pepper and ginger are more pronounced and sharper than in the EDT. The heart brings cigarette leaf and leather, a tobacco-wood combination that pushes the composition firmly toward oriental-woody territory with genuine sophistication.
The dry-down is dominated by Haitian vetiver and labdanum resin, creating exceptional longevity — consistently reported at 10-12 hours with strong projection for the first four to five hours. The grenade bottle in matte bronze finish is identically iconic to the original, maintaining strong shelf and counter appeal.
For wholesale perfume distributors, Spicebomb EDP completes the Spicebomb range alongside the EDT, Dark Leather, and Infrared editions. Retailers stocking the full range report significantly higher basket values from customers who collect within the line.
