Orto Parisi is the niche house of perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri, who translates personal experience and nature philosophy into scent. Terroni, launched in June 2017, attempts to capture the fire, earth and geological depth of the Vesuvius volcano — southern Italian terroir at its most elemental.
Key notes: top note raspberry; heart notes birch, amber and benzoin; base notes vetiver, guaiac wood, cedar, patchouli, musk, moss, tonka and vanilla. The raspberry opening is deceptive — fruity and dark simultaneously, it quickly transitions as smoke and earth begin to emerge. Benzoin and amber soften the transition; patchouli and vetiver amplify the voice of the soil.
