Scandal By Night is the after-dark interpretation of Jean Paul Gaultier's Scandal line, launched in 2018. Perfumer Daphné Bugey conceived a gourmand oriental structure built around a raw honey accord that feels immediately distinctive on skin.
The cherry and pear mid-notes are supported by tuberose and Himalayan nard (jatamansi), an earthy root that adds unexpected depth and prevents the composition from reading as simply sweet.
The base unfolds through patchouli, vanilla, amberwood and white musk — a trail that projects well throughout the evening and remains identifiable hours after application.
