Description
Alessandro Gualtieri, known in the fragrance world as Nasty Sailor, built Orto Parisi on a philosophy of radical honesty: fragrances should smell of real things, not sanitised approximations. Cuoium — from the Latin for 'leather' — is perhaps the most literal expression of this manifesto.
The opening with tar, beeswax and a sharp animal note announces its intentions immediately and without diplomacy. The heart develops raw rubber and leather into a composition that feels genuinely physical — the smell of a working tannery, treated with genuine craft rather than commercial smoothing.
As the base settles, a restrained incense shadow and amber provide structural support without softening the leather's essential character. This is not a wearable fragrance in the conventional sense; it is an olfactory statement.
