Description
The story of Baccarat Rouge 540 begins in 2015 as an exclusive creation for the Baccarat crystal house — named after the 540°C temperature at which Baccarat crystal is melted. Francis Kurkdjian brought to life a composition as precise and luminous as crystal itself, and in doing so, created the most culturally referenced niche fragrance of the last decade in the wholesale perfume market.
Egyptian grandiflorum jasmine opens the composition with luminous, plush florality. The saffron adds a warm, spiced undertone. Moroccan bitter almond blurs boundaries between floral and gourmand, creating the disorienting sweetness that has become the fragrance's most discussed quality. Nothing about this opening is predictable or conventional.
The cedar-ambergris-musk base creates the warm mineral-woody trail that Baccarat Rouge 540 is famous for. On skin, it develops into something simultaneously powdery, warm, and skin-like — what many describe as a perfect second-skin effect. Longevity and projection are exceptional in the EDP format.
Available at Beyazit Parfüm as a 70ml EDP tester — full bottle without box. The single most recognisable wholesale perfume tester globally.
